Using built-in inventory manager you can define new rack gear categories (like KVM Switches, Patch panels etc.), and assign your custom items to them. Your custom-made inventory items will be available to use in rack manager.

Using this feature its easy to define item attributes. Missing server attribute like "manufacturer"? Add it! You can also define "customer" field which allows you to assign item to existing HostBill client
